The ancient town of Sümeg lies at the base of a unique, castle topped, conical limestone massif in the otherwise gently rolling peaks of the Bakony in western Hungary.
Admittedly this isn’t a great shot but it’s a pretty impressive feature nonetheless. Visible from miles around, it in turn, offers far reaching views from its peak – although sadly the sunrise wasn’t what I hoped it would be!
